About the Course

The Roland MDX 540 is a versatile 3-axis CNC milling machine capable of fine detail and precision work.

After completing VCarve I and VCarve II, and this course, gain access to our Roland CNC machine. You’ll learn the machine controls, Vectric Aspire software, discuss the setup checklist, and then make a custom project.

  1. Members are encouraged to start learning and utilizing Aspire to do 3D carving
  2. Flip milling
  3. Installation of Rotary Attachment and operation using DeskProto
  4. Advanced hold-downs techniques
    1. Installation and tramming of vice for smaller items
    2. Using jigs for multiple pieces 
    3. Setting up for micro precision milling, tips, and tricks
